Welcome to Bratts Life
Time does wonders for a relationship!!!!
Feb 14 my husband and I reconciled and got back together. We got a house here in Illinois. I LOVE my husband so much. It took awhile but things are AWESOME now. We are happier than we have ever been. We have a huge house in a very small town. My son is here on the weekends and will probably be here most of the summer.
Relationships are funny things, they take alot of hard work and effort. Sometimes when things get tough, it takes something bad to happen to make you realize what you have. I never stopped loving my husband, just had to work through some things. I am actually really glad I did what I did, because without it, I don’t think we would have made it. We are so happy now. He is seeing the midwest for the first time in his life and loving it. He gets to see the change of seasons for the first time, got to make his first snow angel, got to throw his first snowball… It was incredible seeing it all with him. He is the love of my life and I wouldn’t change a thing in my life now.
My granddaughter took her first steps two weeks ago and is now walking all over the place. Look out Mandi, she is on the move now.
Well, I guess I should be beat for not posting in so long. I really have no excuses.
I will now attempt to update what has happened since May in my life.
June 1st, I packed a van and left my husband in Florida and returned to Illinois. My family and children are there. I am so happy to be back on the farm that I love so much. You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl. That is so true.
I am still working, but have a new job as a mother to my son full time now. I love spending time with him, watching him in his day to day activities. I will sure say it is hard to keep up with a 13 yr old boy these days.
My daughter and grand daughter are doing great. Madison has her first tooth coming thru and is pulling herself up on everything she can find. Just wish I could see her more often but since my daughter lives in Iowa, that is a bit hard at the moment.
Seeing “Autumn” again after 5 years in Florida where nothing dies, no leaves fall is absolutely incredible. The colors are so beautiful. I love looking at all the colors. I am not looking very forward to my first winter with snow very much, but I guess that is part of living in the midwest. I grew up with snow, I can do it again.
Looking forward to the holidays with my family.. I have missed that so much.
WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN’T LOOKING (Written by a former child)
A message every adult should read, because children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you feed a Stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind To animals.
When you thought I wasn’t looking , I saw you make my Favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be The special things in life.
-When you thought I wasn’t looking, I heard you say a Prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always Talk to and I learned to trust in God.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you make a Meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I Learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you give of Your time and money to help people who had nothing And I learned that those who have something should Give to those who don’t.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you take Care of our house and everyone in it and I learned We have to take care of what we are given.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw how you Handled your responsibilities, even when you didn’t Feel good and I learned that I would have to be Responsible when I grow up.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw tears come From your eyes and I learned that sometimes things Hurt, but it’s all right to cry.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw that you Cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I learned most of life’s lessons that I need to know to be a good and Productive person when I grow up.
- When you thought I wasn’t looking, I looked at you And wanted to say, “Thanks for all the things I saw When you thought I wasn’t looking.”
I AM SHARING THIS WITH YOU BECAUSE I KNOW YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO DOES SO MUCH FOR OTHERS. LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT.
